A couple Smallville Questions
I just started watching Smallville this season, and was wondering about some things. In the comics do Clark and Lex know each other prior to becoming enemies in Metropolis? And Clark and Lois prior to working at the Daily Planet together. What part does Lana play in the whole Superman comics? Does the series try to stay exact to what is known from the comics...in terms of events and people in Clark's life?

no. smallville is its own spin on Superman. It has nothing to do with the comics :)

Alright thanks...that's kind of what I thought, but just wasn't sure, and didn't want to look through all the fansites to try to find the answer.
