Buffy and Tru Calling Walls Long time, no update but been a very busy girl and my phases for different types of art kept changing at a rapid pace, so I found it hard to keep up, lol. Anyways, been doing some episodic piece's lately (one of those phases I mentioned) and as I don't often do episodic pieces, so I appreciate some feedback on them :)
Firstly, the Buffy pieces
Warning Signs -http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/2759/warningsignslt8.jpg
A Buffy piece for the episode which title is currently eluding me, lol. I liked how this one turned out. Lyrics from Oasis.
A Brand New World - http://img159.imageshack.us/img159/1472/abrandnewworlduw7.jpg
'The Wish' episodic piece. Tried to get the cast in their different reality, so you can compare to how you normally see them, and added the Master for good measure - As you know what happened to him, lol. Didn't add Angel in, as I felt it would be too crowded, but the 'gap' in the left side is bugging me.
A Place That I Won't Forget -http://img63.imageshack.us/img63/7527/aplacethatiwontforgetsr8.jpg
Season 4 'This Years Girl.' Not sure about this one, as I keep changing my mind about it.
Onto Tru Calling:
The Game Is On -http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/4044/thegameisonks6.jpg
Episodic piece for the season 1 finale "Two Weddings and Funeral" - I loved the funeral scene with the discussion between Jack and Tru so I tried to incorporate this into a wallpaper, and I think I succeeded. The text is something I made up, came to me randomly when I was trying to fit lyrics to go with the piece but was having no luck, so I hope you like :)
Murdered In The Name Of Fate -http://img123.imageshack.us/img123/1259/murderedinthenameoffatecm6.jpg
Came about accidentally, when halfway through making the other Tru Calling wallpaper above, so its from the same episode and scene. Its a piece for the beginning of the Funeral scene where we see Luke's body with Tru and Harrison standing over him, saying their goodbyes.
Tiger-Chan- 06-05-2007
The Buffy ones are very very well done. But the True calling ones are a bit choppy with the images and the textures.
Your getting really good!!!!! *hugs*

I agree with Tiger-Chan, mainly just the first Tru Calling one is choppy!!! My fav. of all of them is The Wish. And personally I like the gap, it definitely helps to keep it from being to busy.
OT: I love Tru Calling, that show should have never been cancelled, especially after I heard what was going to be coming in season 2. I just rewatched the entire series a couple weeks ago!!!

Thanks Guys! *hugs*
I agree with the choppyness of the Tru Calling walls and textures, I just wish there was better quality caps around, I took some myself but they are just the same quality as everywhere else. I tried many times to make it less choppy, and that was the best result.
As for the Buffy walls, I thought text in the gap of The Wish wall, made it too busy so maybe its a good thing, lol.
OT: Oh My God, I just finished re-watching Tru Calling too and I agree it should have never been cancelled. First time I watched it (when I bought the boxset), I had only seen 4 episodes of the show so I got really into it, and when I watched the ending of last ever episode, I was going "No! You shouldn't have left it there!" Lol.

The TC ones are a bit choppy, but where were you looking for caps? Screencap Paradise seems to have decent ones.
The Wishverse wall is definitely my favorite. Excellent work!
And the episode title that is escaping you is "Surprise"
OT: I just started Tru Calling and I'm madly in love with it. There's supposed to be a fan made continuation at the livejournal community- Relive A Day Foundation
I'm only halfway through the first season but it just keeps getting better and better.

I got them from Screencap Paradise, but the caps I make come out at the same quality anyways. Its like the early seasons of Charmed - not good quality caps avaialble. (Unless you get the early seasons via the Charmed magazine, as they have been digitally remastered).
And thanks for the episode title, I' rubbish with titles in general.
Think I attempted a tuturial with 'The Wish' piece, but I have a bad memory, lol. Its written down somewhere in some basic form though.
OT: I know of the continuation, as I have read the first one, but not got round to the rest. One of the writers of the show wrote in his live journal of how the show was/how going to continue into the rest of season 2 and 3. Good ideas which sadly never came to past. I love the song played during the funeral scene when Tru and Jack talk, I wanted to use it in the piece but the lyrics didn't fit so, downloaded it instead :)

Good work. I agree with what everyone else has been saying about the Tru calling ones....never watched it....seems to be like I'm missing out on some good quality TV eg Veronica Mars, Charmed, Smallville.
Fav is definitely the Wish one. Great blending. There's nothing wrong with the gap...another image would crowd it.
Try these links....the caps seem to be okay to me.

I've been on these sites before, but thanks for the links anyways. Seems the smaller caps are better quality, lol. But there was only caps for season 2 in the first link, as the others were episodic promos.
Thanks everyone for the feedback - Much appreciated :)

Yeah caps are tricky...I have pretty much every show I watch on DVD, and it's always difficult to get good quality ones.

Yeah, I know what you mean - I know you can change the settings for captures (size etc), but I just leave it to default as they always seem to come out fine. Its just when it comes to working with them, that you notice the quality etc.
