buffy movie
hey im danni does anyone have anymore news on the buffy and angel movies coz all ive heard is that both david and smg are interested but they both have other projects on. i really want joss to make a movie soon im dying to watch some new buffy and angel epps.

Well it seems they are a lot closer now. Apparently Joss has asked Tim Minear to write and direct a Spike TV-movie. Amy Acker has now said that Joss has asked her to be in the movie also as Illyria.

hey, thats wicked. do you know anything about angel or buffy appearing in the spike movie. omg paige will be wrapped she loves spike personally im more of an angel fan? who do u like best?

I dunno if sarah will do it, she said that she is happy that the buffy charactor is over. So i dunno if she would do one who do u like best? That is in another topic somewere else on this forum

David Boreanaz said he'd do it if it went to the big screen, but I think that's out of the picture now that he's in Bones. SMG said she'd rather just leave Buffy story end where it did (like TC said). She said because it took seven years to tell Buffy's full story, it wouldn't feel right to her to re-open it. I guess I understand what she's saying, but I'd rather see her again. Personally I prefer Spike to Angel now, though David's back in shape, so he's gained some of his cool back. Just my opinion, as much as i would love to see more from the buffyverse, i think to reopen it would be the kiss of death. we have to respect good story telling and sometimes that means being a selfless fan and not demand more. But, im open to a flashback movie thatt fits into to original story :P

well i think the ending of buffy was great but i would love to know what big bad there was after that i am hoping to get the book but i would much rather see smg do it in a movie. im still a huge angel fan i think he a great hunk a spunk but spike is hot to. thanks i will look at those forums. :D

I kind of agree with you Jessie. I've always been afraid that if they would re-open the verse it wouldn't do well. I think it would be embarassing for the fans if a spin-off got picked up and cancelled, or if the movie was a flop (TV or big screen). Though I will always want more verse :D I'll just have to hope for the best. Joss can pull off anything...need I mention Serenity.

At this point I highly doubt there'll be a movie anytime soon featuring either DB or SMG as Angel or Buffy because of their other commitments and because I think the actor/actresses are generally reluctant to step back into the same roles. I'm definitely interested in a Illyria movie though! Would be cool - considering we only got to see 6 eps with her....allowing her character to develop more would be great. The possibilities are endless in the Whedonverse! I haven't heard anything about a Ripper series for quite a while now.

i liked Fred a lot more than illeria but it would be cool to see her in a movie.

hm..yeah I doubt SMG would agree..we have a better chance of a spike or illyria movie..but both so exciting!!

i know, i hope they do one soon. Danni you and i could quote nearly ep if we tried. Ha ha, but didn't sarah say no to the idea because of how the origional buffy movie turned out? (fear the spelling) oh i'm watching Angel conviction.

Ummmm...I think she said that too, but I'm not positive seeing how it wouldn't technically be a sequel to the original.

la la la, ah sorry sugar high. Well i hope they make some sort of movie *sigh* but i'm beginging to dought it (Fear my bad spelling!)
