Buffy The orignial move
i got the old buffy movie for my b-day on the 6th, and i watched it today for the first time in a looooong while. And i noticed something, Luke Perry, his name was Pike and when his hair was slicked back it was the same cut as Spike's!! hehe i wonder if Joss used the Pike as a guide for spike hmmm

I always wondered if there was any connection there :P What do you think of the origonal movie? I cant make up my mind about it lol

I really like the movie. As part of the Buffyverse it obviously doesn't fit very well, but it kind of let's us see what Buffy's life was like pre-Sunnydale, so that makes it interesting. I find it very funny too :D

I actually have the movie on video...I bought it about 2 years ago, and this summer I finally got it on DVD (great bonus features).

I really liked the movie, merely because it was cool to see a version of how Buffy was pre-Sunnydale, as said. And it was pretty funny and the clothes were neat in a 90-ish sort of way. Also, I have to agree with the bonus features. They are great and it's cool to see that on a movie that is that old. Most movies from that time just contain the movie and not much else so that was all pretty cool.

The outfits are so funny looking...especially that dress she wears to the dance. :D

i think that the dress in the second episode is supposed to SORTA mimic the dress in the movie...don cha think?

I never thought of that...you mean the finale right?? I think maybe it is though supposed to be like that one.

why did i write second ep? im silly lol i wonder if joss put anymore lil bits in the first season from the movie..hmmm....ill have to watch it agian

Hmm...I can't think of any, but maybe there are...though there could be unintentional ones too.

The movie was quite fun - and yeah....they're clothes were so different! :wink: But then I look back at some of S1 and it's already starting to look outdated to me. Has anyone else read the comic Viva Las Buffy - it tells of the part between the movie and the series where Buffy runs off to Las Vegas with Pike (and Angel makes a few shadowy appearances!).

I really want to read this, but I only have a few of the comics!! I agree about the clothes in season 1 though...that's the only season that seem really dated to me. Especially when Buffy doesn't know what the internet is.
