Totally a clasic movie. I watched it many times over and over again when I was little.

Tiger-Chan- 07-17-2005

I mean the new one...not the crap old one. When i was a kid i saw it too....not as good...i dislike it very much. Im talking about the NEW one, that Tim Berton directed.

Great movie, saw it yesterday. Yeah, everybody had SO much makeup on so they like, glowed. Especially Augustus. So hysterical though. There were parts where I looked at my friend in a wow-this-is-such-a-weird-movie way. Gene Wilder wil always have a special place ...more so the Oompa Loompas' songs. The new songs were....just too funny to descirbe. My only quirk was that Mike Teevee was such an annoying know-it-all...reminded me of Ruthy from 7th Heaven, in other words, I wanted to strangle that kid. The whole point Dahl was trying to make with Mike was that TV like rotted your brain, not improved it. I was disappointed that Mike wasn't a little cowboy. But hey, Johnny Depp, funny, Christopher Lee wasn't as sketchy as his roles normally are...Depp's was probably the most sketchy actually. I LOVED when Charlie was like, "And he has weird hair" and Wonka's all, "I DO NOT!"

I can't wait!!!!! it's comes out in spetember here so i only have about about a week to wait, Johnny depp is in it so it must be good. but i've herd that people think that jonny deep makes the movie crap. Well i'll have to judge it for myself. Oh my cousin won one of the golden tickets. I want one!!!!!

Steve- 08-27-2005

Was there some sort of promotion there??

five_by_five- 08-27-2005

I saw this movie awhile ago. As soon as it opened in theaters. My friends and I had been planning to see it two weeks in advance so we were all excited to see it because we're fans of the old movie too and Tim Burton's work. I was a little worried it would ruin the whole "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" but it was about equal I'd say. Now a lot of people liked "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" better but I am a huge musical fan and Burton did not put enough music in there for me nor dance routines. So I have given it a 4 out of 5 stars for me. (Oh and did any of you know that the first movie was supposed to come out as a promotion for the Wonka Chocolate they were making but the day they went to send it, apparently it all melted?)
