I don't tell everyone unless they ask straight out "what's your favorite shows" then I always say Angel and Buffy! I will say sometimes it's weird!

i used to not tell people but then i started to not care anymore...if they think i'm weird because i like the show then they can't go ahead and think i'm weird...b/c there weird for judgeing people on what kind of TV they like.

I must admit, I am kind of a closet Buffy Fan, but then for most TV shows that aren't soaps eg. Charmed, Alias etc. My friends do know me more as a Charmed fan, but then one of my friends is obessed with the show, so we end up talking about it in great detail? Sorry, we're talking about Buffy...anyways, I only really tell people if I'm into people if they ask what TV shows do I watch, but like Coco said people judge you from what TV shows you watch, which I agree is weird - we all have different tastes. I do have another friend who is obsessed with Buffy, so when I see them we have our own little conversation. She actually learned a speech from a Buffy episode (can't remember whoch episode, I just remember it was a long speech) the day before an important exam, lol. But yeah, if I find someone who loves the show...thats it - I'm talking, and you've lost me for quite a while, lol.

I love BtVS so much, i have come to talk like Buffy lol. I find myself saying things just like her LOL i really need to stop watching it so much LOLLL

Sometimes people look at me weird when I use Buffyverse talk lol, but it doesn't stop me from doing it lol. @Patchi- I can relate...no one knows I watch Charmed except one of my good friends.

I totally agree to what everyone is saying. People do think your weird when you tell them you like Buffy though not so much when you say you like Angel (why!!!!) They all think it's some kids show and judge it by the title without even watching an episode. When I try to tell them that's it's not all about killing monsters and that there is some meaningful life stuff in there they all look at me like I need locked up. When I happened to let slip that I had a pair of Buffy pyjamas they were like "weirdo, what's a grown woman doing wearing something like that". It was also the same when my husband bought me the cross that Angel gave to Buffy for my Christmas present :evil: So I don't mention the books, posters and fanart etc. Anyway it's their loss. They are missing out on the grea-*test*-('") show on TV ever!!!

I know what you mean EXACTLY with everything you just said there (except I don't have Buffy pajamas). I noticed that too about Angel.

It seems that all the shows that deal have a superanural/magical theme - ange;. buffy, charmed, supernatural etc...people get stick for watching and are deemed weird because of it. It you said you watched programs like ER, Lost, Desperate Housewives etc and none of those listed above, no one would blink an eyelid about it

Yep, I don't know how many time I've had to answer the question "Why do you watch those shows" or "Do you really watch those". People don't seem to get that there is more to them than monsters.
