First two drawings of 2007
Happy New Year! Here are my first two drawings of 2007: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/45731922/ http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/46213609/ Both are of the singer Avril Lavigne. CC very welcome. ^^ Here's to a another year of great art! :D

Wow they are superb. You are a very talented artist both at drawing and fanart. :D

Have to agree with Debbie. You are very talented. I used to draw, but with pencil only, it must be really hard not being able to erase with pastels.

Thanks debbiefm and Steve. :D I still have a while to go. I used to draw, but with pencil only, it must be really hard not being able to erase with pastels. Yeah, that's true. But it's also more FUN I reckon! Because you CAN'T constantly erase things over and over again to make them absolutely perfect...which using pencil kinda "encourages".

Yeah I took two drawing classes last semester, and if we were caught erasing we'd get yelled at lol.

Wow...those are amazing. Loving the shading :) Like Steve, I used to draw with pencils. Never taken a class or anything, just did it for the hell of it and had a sketch pad with various pencil drawings. And yes, pencil does encourage easing loads, but some of us are pefectionists in that sense, lol. I did post the drawings once (the photos of them, as my scanner likes to play up. Not the best photos either), but the last serious pencil drawing I did was over 3years ago and don;t see myself getting back in the habit.

I stopped drawing for about 6 months last year. At first I was afraid to start again because I thought I'd be heaps bad (after so long without practice) but then I quickly picked it up again. What kind of things did you draw?
