heyyy everyone :D okay so saygal and i are entering a battle, heres the deal: - BtVS/AtS - 10 rounds (5 each) - screencaps (no photoshoots, etc) - usual wallpaper sizes 800x600 or 1024x768 - each peice will explore an emotion ---- fear ---- grief ---- hope ---- happiness ---- hatred - must use screencaps from 3 episodes ready? set? go! Comment on Round One: Oh, I love the blue ghostly coloring of the piece. How the text "glows" a little bit is very creepy too. Nice blending, and it captures the "chilling" fear really well! :) Round Two Still Scared http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v710/deedeebobo/wallpaper268.jpg Fear: The Slayer's fear of vampires. Episodes: Prophecy Girl, Halloween, Helpless Comments: I tried to show that even though Buffy's the Slayer, she's still scared of vampires - that being the Slayer doesn't mean she's completely fearless.

Comment on Round Three: Wow, all I can is that I was really surprised by this one. The vivid red color and sharpness of the texture is so dramatic, I love it since I was expecting blueish colors for Grief and you totally threw me off there. It shows the ANGRY side of grief. Interesting composition as well, I like how it flows and shows Willow's descension into anger, revenge and destruction through grief. Episodes: The Trial, You're Welcome, The Gift, Heartthrob. Comments: Darla, Buffy and Cordelia have all been a major part of Angel's life. Angel's grieves their deaths and is also torn by the fact that he could not save them, no matter how strong he is. I guess I'm trying to capture the sense of loss and helplessness of grief when someone you love dies. Text Credits: Lyrics from Goodbye My Lover by James Blunt and quote from Heartthrob.

Comment on Round Five: Wow, great blending and I love the shimmery texture that you used. Comments on Round 7: I love the images you chose to use. The coloring, I agree is really great - interesting for a "happy" piece to use colors that aren't that bright. The "smile" text looks great too. Round Eight Happiness Comes At A Price http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y70/whatnow2126/wallpaper272.jpg Happiness: For Angel, happiness always comes at a price. And that price is often too high. Episodes: Becoming Part 1, Peace Out, I Will Always Remember You Comments: Not that happy with this one because I think the composition could have been much better. But it was an interesting concept to play with anyway. A kind of angsty take on "happiness".

Comments on Round 9: I like the photo you took of the cottony flowers - they have that prickly look that suits the theme, lol. Great choice of images, it's like instanteously, you can see the loathing that Spike's just feeling towards Angel. Round 10 I Hate You http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v710/deedeebobo/wallpaper275.jpg Hatred: Faith's self hatred and also the hatred that exists between Buffy and Faith. Episodes: Who Are You, Sanctuary, Empty Places Comments: The coloring of this was fun to do and I'm surprised it didn't turn out as violent as I thought it'd be. I played with the fonts and styles in this piece a bit and I think it helps the quotes come across more strongly.

comment on round 10 ooohhh cool! this is a different style for you and i love it. the violent red slash of color really pulls the whole piece and theme together, great job! okay... i guess we are done! what do we do know exactly? haha
