Jobs... Sometimes Jobs suck...
I work at a amusement park, and trust me I deal with little kids that can be brats, idiots, and its annoying. I also have to deal with the occasional crazed parent/customer.
Don't get me wrong I love my job, but sometimes management can be a Btch to deal with and gossip travels around my job faster then in Highschool. And EVERYONE literally knows about something about someone all the time.
What jobs do you guys deal with?

I work at a grocery store...I'm a stocker/cashier/dairy manager (kind of) so I deal with a lot of old people who like to argue about prices. It makes me so mad. Also, because I work in the dairy department a lot, I'm stuck in refrigerator almost all day, so that sucks too.
Acila- 12-26-2005
Wow,
people seriously argue about the prices with you? Like thats really going to change anything? Seriously?
*Shakes head at how sad some customers can be*
I empathize with you on being stuck in a giant fridge all day, that got to be....interesting....Hey out of curiosity since its probly so0 cold back there, are you guys able to slide accross the floor? ^_^ I'v allways wondered that when I'm in the diary section of grocery stores.
Steve- 12-26-2005
Not in the dairy back area but definitely in the frozen food back area...I can't tell you how many times I've almost broken my neck lol. It's pretty crowded back there though, so it's hard to slide around just for fun.

I work in retail, in a clothing store called Bluenotes. and im the 3rd Key which means when my assistant manager or manager isnt aroiund, im in charge. I have to deal with assholes how scream in my face about returns, and shit like that...i really hate my job
Acila- 12-29-2005
Having people scream in your face for returns sucks, I might not work in retail...and never have...but with the amusement park scene customers constantly want to exchange tickets, ride coupons or have refunds for some mudane reason or anouther... And with my works strickt no refund policy I get yelled at alot.
Cool on the 3rd key thing, I'm back up supervisor so I understand having to deal with all that supervisory stuff too...can be a pain, but I don't hate my job - If you don't like it so much tigercan why don't you try and find a new one? or a better one or something?
Oh and Steve, I like your sliding comment, even if you don't get to slide around on the floor for fun, It's still cool to know that you can slide around :D, just keep your neck safe and were all happy campers.
Tiger-Chan- 12-29-2005
i stay there cuz i make 8.25 an hour, and there is no were hireing right now were i live. So im stuck there till something better comes along
Steve- 12-29-2005
$8.25...I only make $6.50 and I've been at my job for three years...my boss is a cheap skate though.
@Acila...I'll do my best not to break my neck :)
Tiger-Chan- 01-03-2006
but 6.50USD right? mine is CND, so im sure with the exchange its the same hehe
Steve- 01-04-2006
Yeah, you're proably right. I didn't think of that.
slaygal- 04-02-2006
Geez...I'd hate to work in the refrigerator section, it's be freezing all the time wouldn't it? Can't imagine myself shivering for HOURS at work.
Just got a job tutoring maths and english this year! Its pretty easy and the kids are nice. I have to bribe one to work by playing hangman with her later!
Steve- 04-02-2006
Yeah, it used to be really bad, but I've gotten used to standing in the cold all day. Plus I'm one of those people who are always freezing no matter the temp.
Hangman...well I guess anything that works. I'm sure it can be fun working with the kids though :)

I work @ a grocery store too. Only I get paid like $7.80 (USD) so wayy more than you Steve (lol, not really). And I've only worked there for a year and a half. But I cannot stand it. You really wonder about some people's intelligence when they go into stores. Plus there's the whole, HOW CAN YOU SHOP EVERY SINGLE DAY? Really...and I live in a smallllll town so it really confuses me. What do they do with all that food? Lol. But I stay for the money. So I can buy food lol.
Steve- 04-11-2006
LOL that's so funny, because I think the exact same thing. Especially when it comes to people who come in and shop every day. There's this one lady in particular...she always spends at least $40, and when she writes a check she always asks for $20 back. It's just crazy, doesn't she have anything better to do!!!
Ericka- 04-11-2006
Sometimes I think that people are so lonely and the only time they get to socialize it at the grocery store, but it creeps me out! My store has over 50 regulars a day that are always just hanging around. I mean most of them are nice people but some are just insane!
It really makes me wish that my town actually had SOMETHING for these people to do. Damn a population of like 3000
