New Point Pleasant WP and 4 VM Icons
Here's my la-*test*-('") attempt at fanart. I'm not real happy with the wallpaper, but I like the way the icons turned out. Feedback welcome. Point Pleasnt WP 1024x 1650x

The icons are great as usual Steve. What is it you are not really happy with on the wall? The only thing I could see is that the image in the top right could maybe do with being moved over to the edge a bit....so that it doesn't look like she has grown a hand out of her head lol. But other than that I love the contrast and textures. You can feel the emotion of the piece

I guess I was mainly not happy with it, because I had a clear picture in my head about what I wanted it to look like, and I didn't get exactly that. Though how often do you actually get what you imagined lol. Now that I haven't worked on it for a few days though, I like it better now if that makes sense. You know when you're too close to a project and every little thing bugs you if it's not perfect. I think the other thing that bugged me was I thnk it's a little too crowded. And about the head growing out of her head, lol now that you said that I keep seeing that when I look at it lol.

I hate that when you have an idea for a wall and it just doesn't work out the way you imagined it. Sometimes it's better than what you wanted, but mostly it's not. I get really discouraged when that happens and I end up forgetting about the whole thing.

Yeah that's what usually happens to me, I give up!!

I sometimes give up to, or save it at a point where I know I like it, and then leave it for however long until (if ever) the idea for how I want it comes into my head - texture, images etc. Anyways, onto the art - Like Debbie said - Great icons as usual. Love the colouring as always :) As for the wall - If the hand was...in whole, as in you had the bottom of it, would work better, but then I probably would want more of the hair in the image that it is above. Reminds me of Steven King's 'Carrie.' Generally, when you have a clear idea in your head, you have an image that is a tad different to it actually is, which is often annoying. Sometimes though, you can create some of the missing bits by duplicating parts of the image that are similar and then blending them necessairily. Not always easy though.

Thanks Patchi. I do that too, if it's not working save it at the point i liked it at, and then come back later.
