If you read only the lestat parts of Queen of the damned (I have read the book this way) the only contradictions are people relationships to each other. Marius did not make lestat, Maharet had a twin sisterMekare that played a huge part in the down fall of Akasha. Other than that, it is true to those chapters of the book I liked van Helsing, it was fun.

Interview with a Vampire is ok, but I never like tom cruise so it kinda of ruined it for me. But it was fairly true to the book. Rice fan too if you can't tell.. Actually just finished readin Blood and Gold recently.

i dunno about the whole lonley creatures thing for the ann rice stories, vampires are animals, with no "emotions" really. They are deamns. Thats one thing i dont like about her stories i have notcied, well jsut form the movies anyway lol

That's true, on Buffy they said vampires don't really have feelings!! (Unless they have a soul lol)!! But I guess I'm not really sure what Anne Rice thinks! Though if her vampires didn't have feelings, her stories would probably be really boring!!

The vampire brides in Van Helsing were cool - I liked the transformation! The Underworld vampires were alright - very Gothicy...but didn't do much in the way of "vampires"... ...looking forward to seeing Underworld 2 as well! ^^ Other than that - haven't seen many vampire movies..

Personally I get a little sick of vampire's not have any emotions. Why shouldn't they? Anne Rice's take on vampires can be very refreshing. I loved the reference to her books in Buffy! And if you guys don't like vampires with emotions don't read my book because I took the whole vampires-are-people-too approach. Heh-heh. Of course classics like Dracula is proof that vampires not having souls can be interesting too. Oh mon Dieu! Has anyone seen the Dracula 2000 and 3000 film things!? They are pretty cheezy... Or has anyone seen Shadow of the Vampire? It's interesting but really slow at parts.
