Vampire Novels As an avid, crazy reader, and huge vampire obsessor, I thought it would be good to pool our resources and compile a list of good vampire novels. Submissions to the list should include title and author and a one or two sentence summary maybe. No Buffy books please, I'm gonna start a seperate list for that, organized by season.
I'll start with the obvious:
The Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice:
1. Interview With the Vampire- New Orleans vampire, Louis, tells of his vampire origins in the compelling beginning of a stellar vampire series.
2. The Vampire Lestat- Lestat tells of his origins, waking up in the 1980s to the shock Louis's betrayal.
More to come...
Twilight by Stephenie Meyer - A high school student named Bella uncovers the truth about her mysterious, beautiful classmate, Edward.
New Moon by Stephenie Meyer - The sequel to Twilight
Minion by L.A. Banks - The first in a series of Vampire Huntress novels. It's about edgy Damali Richards, a vampire slayer and underground rock star.
More to come...
Guilty Pleasures by Laurel K. Hamilton - The first in another vampire hunter series. This one's got a real big following.
More to come...
Bloodsucking Fiends by Christopher Moore - The hilarious story of Jody, who wakes up disoriented as a newly turned vamp under a dumpster.
You Suck: A Love Story - Equally good sequel to Bloodsucking Fiends
Suggestions and comments on listed books welcome!

I've been wanting to wrte a fan story placing the Scoobies in Moore's San Fransisco... including the death merchants from A Dirty Job.

Hmm. I haven't read many, but I read the book an Anne Rice book called "Tales of the Body Theif" or something like that. It was really good. Lestat ends up switching bodies with a mortal and it's really interesting.
