What font to use???
Okay, well this is something I was talking about with Tiger-Chan in my HC layout thread. I always have trouble choosing fonts that look good, and deciding the best places to put text, etc. Does anyone have tips for how to choose the best fonts for certain pieces??

I always choose a font that fits with my theme.. Like if I have a glamorous layout or wall, I pick a font that's pretty and stylish like fonts such as english or lainie day For other stuff, like episodic pieces, I usually pick a normal font like times new roman or americana.. Though I always have a hard time to pick and position my fonts, I hope this helps a little

hmm well i am a big fan of simpler fonts. like love to use arial black. nelly is right about matching your theme. however, i think overly complicated fonts can draw away from a peice. also i try to work with the composition of the peice, like were are there gaps. and i never crowd a peice with text, too many words just looks unprofessional. i try to limit myself to one phrase or even one word. and lastly, if it doesnt work, dont put it at all. not all art needs text :)

I agree with Jessie, I think it distracts. The font really isn't supposed to be what you want to look at first although with some walls that use a bad font that's what you see. Try to pick something that fits the feeling of the picture but then isn't the focus untill after you've looked at it!
